First Visit & Insurance
Initial Exam
During a regular complete exam, we will obtain X-rays with our state of the art digital panoramic and digital x-ray sensors, which drastically reduce the amount of radiation exposure from traditional dental x-ray film. Then the dentist will perform a complete dental exam and determine the type of cleaning you need. The dentist will discuss your oral health and answer any questions you might have regarding your treatment.
On the First Visit
Thank you for choosing us to care for your dental needs. We look forward to meeting you and helping you make the best decisions when it comes to your oral health. For your convenience, our new patient paperwork can be filled out at any time online and will be electronically sent to our office. Just click on the link and you can save time from filling out paperwork here at the office. If you have any questions prior to your visit, please feel free to call us at 352-989-5815.
Financial Policy
As a courtesy, our staff will attempt to verify insurance plan benefits prior to treatment, however, there may be certain plan limitations such as waiting periods, frequency limitations, age limitations or non-covered services. In the event that the dental insurance does not make complete payment for services rendered, each patient is ultimately responsible for the remaining balance within 30 days from billing date. We will do our best to gather the dental benefits provided to us, however, please be aware that the insurance company does not always provide us complete and thorough breakdowns.
Hancock Village Dental gladly accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Cash, and Care Credit. Checks are no longer an accepted form of payment.
Appointments
We strive to render excellent dental care to you and the rest of our patients. In an attempt to be consistent with this, we have an Appointment Cancellation Policy that allows us to schedule appointments for all patients. When an appointment is scheduled, that time has been set aside for you and when it is missed, that time cannot be used to treat another patient.
If you find that you are unable to make your scheduled appointment, we kindly ask you to contact our office 48 hours prior to your appointment time (or if your appointment is on Monday, please let us know by Thursday), and we will gladly reschedule your appointment. This allows for other patients to be scheduled into that appointment slot.
Of course, we understand life happens, the kids get sick, or a hurricane is on its way, however, if repeated habit of no-show or same day cancellations occur, a cancellation fee may be applied to your account.
